Victoria Beckham beamed with pride today as she accompanied her husband, David Beckham, to Windsor Castle, where he was finally awarded his long-awaited knighthood.
The 50-year-old former England captain was honoured by King Charles for his outstanding contributions to sport and charity, following years of public calls for his recognition.
Having served as a UNICEF ambassador for two decades and played a key role in bringing the London 2012 Olympics to life, David will now be officially known as Sir David Beckham, while his wife proudly assumes the title Lady Beckham.

Earlier this year, the football legend expressed that he was “immensely proud” of the recognition, describing it as “a truly humbling moment” and “an emotional milestone” to share with his family.
He reflected: “Growing up in east London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British, I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honour. To have played for and captained my country was the greatest privilege of my career and literally a boyhood dream come true.”
After nearly five months of anticipation since being named in King Charles’ Birthday Honours list, David Beckham was officially knighted by the monarch today in a touching ceremony at Windsor Castle, attended by his family and closest friends.

The 50-year-old football legend joined the ranks of British sporting greats honoured for their achievements, alongside Rugby League icon Billy Boston, who was also knighted during the ceremony.
Victoria Beckham, who first witnessed her husband receive his OBE from Queen Elizabeth II in 2003, looked effortlessly elegant at Windsor Castle as she supported him, joined by his proud parents, Ted Beckham and Sandra West.
The fashion designer wore a sophisticated ankle-length black gown with a one-shoulder cutout, paired with black heels and a sleek handbag.
She later shared a touching tribute on social media, writing: “You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official. Sir @davidbeckham!!!”
“What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you. Your dedication to the things that matter most — your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family — has never wavered.
The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us every day. But above all else, I’m so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much xxxx.”

It’s believed that David and Victoria Beckham have developed a warm friendship with King Charles, as David has been collaborating with The King’s Foundation in recent years.
The knighthood marks the end of a long and often turbulent wait for recognition. Beckham was first nominated in 2011 for his contributions to football and philanthropy, but his name was removed from the honours list after being linked to a tax avoidance scheme involving several celebrities.
He was later cleared by HMRC, reopening the path for his long-anticipated honour. In addition to his illustrious football career, Beckham’s tireless charity work has cemented his reputation as one of Britain’s most respected and beloved public figures.
He has served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2005, launching the 7 Fund to protect vulnerable children worldwide and supporting countless causes, from malaria prevention to education initiatives.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star is also working with The King’s Foundation, promoting youth development, sustainability, and rural education — continuing his mission to inspire positive change well beyond the football pitch.
