Prince William Sends Personal Message of Pride Following Low-Key Getaway With Princess Kate

Prince William has issued a heartfelt message of support for a cause he has championed for more than two decades, following a private weekend in Scotland with Princess Kate.

The Prince of Wales returned to social media on Monday to highlight Tusk’s Wildlife Ranger Challenge, which was held on Saturday, 19 September. William has served as Royal Patron of Tusk since 2005, supporting the charity’s work in wildlife conservation and community development across Africa.

Held annually, the Wildlife Ranger Challenge raises vital funds while recognising the work of those protecting Africa’s wildlife. Rangers representing 21 countries across the continent take part in a demanding 21km race as part of the campaign.

Following the event, Tusk shared a series of photographs on social media on Sunday, highlighting the determination and teamwork displayed by participating rangers across Africa.

The charity wrote: “Yesterday, ranger teams gathered at hub events in Kenya, Zambia, South Africa and Uganda, while others took part from their own sites across the continent in support.”

Describing the physical demands of the challenge and the atmosphere at the finish, Tusk continued: “Together, they took on the 21km race, with up to 22kg of kit on their backs. Finish lines crossed side by side, teammates pulling each other up the last stretch, quiet exhaustion and loud celebration in equal measure. The organisation concluded by recognising everyone involved in making this year’s event possible: “To every ranger who has taken part in this year’s challenge, and to the teams behind them, thank you. To our partners and funders, thank you for making it possible.”

William added his own message beneath the post, personally congratulating those who completed the challenge and expressing his pride in supporting the conservation community.

Writing from the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account, the Prince signed off with his initial, making clear that the message came directly from him.

He wrote: “A huge well done to every ranger who took part. Proud to support such an extraordinary community and the incredible work you do. W,”

William and Kate’s secrеt trip

Prince William had a particularly eventful week, travelling north to Scotland last Thursday amid renewed attention on the Royal Family following controversial allegations made by his uncle, Earl Charles Spencer.

William and Catherine arrived on the Isle of Bute on 17 September for an official engagement highlighting the island’s strong community spirit and commitment to volunteering. Known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay while in Scotland, the couple joined a litter-picking effort at Ettrick Bay Beach and also tried their hand at shinty during the visit.

Rather than heading home immediately after completing their royal duties, William and Catherine remained in Scotland for the weekend. They are believed to have made their way to Royal Deeside, where the Princess reportedly stayed for two nights.

Catherine then returned to Windsor on her own on Saturday morning.
