Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly eager to see his nephew, Prince William, “taken down a peg or three” as revenge for his own exclusion from the Royal Family.
According to a royal insider, the former Duke of York believes he may be able to find an ally in Prince Harry — seemingly relying on the old notion that “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
Andrew has been stripped of all his titles and privileges after further damaging evidence surfaced regarding his association with convicted paedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
The source said: “It’s common knowledge that William was the driving force behind the King’s decision to strip the Yorks of their titles, and now he’s pushing hard behind the scenes to get him evicted from Royal Lodge and banished entirely — preferably overseas… Andrew is well aware of that and he’s absolutely furious.”
Andrew, 65, and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are expected to leave Royal Lodge — the deteriorating mansion in Windsor Great Park where they have lived for years — in early 2026.
Although he is expected to relocate to a more modest property on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, some reports suggest Andrew may instead choose to move abroad — possibly to Bahrain, where he is known to have good relations with the ruling family.
Speaking to the Australian magazine Woman’s Day, the insider said Andrew “used to be fond of” William, 43, but now believes his nephew “deserves to be taken down a peg or three” — and he is hoping to enlist Harry to help him do it.
The source continued: “It’s highly unlikely he’ll have any luck getting through to Meghan [Markle] because she’s known to be disgusted by him, but Andrew’s hopeful he can get through to Harry and is pushing Eugenie to help make it happen.
“He was grateful that Harry went out of his way to deny rumours of a fight between them and would like to thank him for doing that, while brainstorming ways they can cut William down to size together.”

‘There’s no backing down or reprieve at this point’
The “final straw” for the Prince of Wales was reportedly the emergence of an email Andrew sent to Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 — after the royal had publicly claimed to have severed all contact with the disgraced financier. In the message, Andrew wrote, “we’re in this together.”
The insider continued: “He’s wanted him gone for many years, and the recent email evidence gave him the perfect excuse to take his father aside, along with other senior courtiers, and insist they collectively put their feet down.”
“William can’t stand the thought of being anywhere near Andrew at this stage, which is why he wants him and Sarah gone long before he, Kate and the children move into their new property, which is only a stone’s throw from their estate. So there’s no backing down or reprieve at this point — which is why Andrew has given up on repairing his relationship with William and is now looking to the Sussexes instead.”
