Prince Andrew’s ‘Rude’ Remark About Princess Kate Reportedly ‘Sent Prince William Over the Edge’

Andrew’s relationship with Prince William is said to be tense, largely due to the scandals linked to the former Duke of York and his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

However, the rift between the two may run even deeper, with reports suggesting that William was further angered by a “rude” comment allegedly made by Andrew as the disgraced royal faces the loss of his titles under orders from King Charles.

Andrew, 65, is alleged to have made “rude” comments about Princess Kate that reportedly pushed Prince William “over the edge.”

The claim comes from royal author Andrew Lownie in his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the Yorks, which explores the former Duke of York’s downfall after years of research.

According to Lownie, a source revealed that relations between Andrew and William have been strained for quite some time, with tensions only worsening amid the ongoing controversies surrounding the disgraced royal.

According to The Mirror, a source suggested that the tension between Prince William and his uncle first arose when Andrew began damaging the monarchy’s reputation through his scandals.

The former Duke of York has consistently denied any wrongdoing and rejected the allegations made against him by the late Virginia Giuffre.

Their strained relationship reportedly deteriorated further after Andrew allegedly made a disrespectful remark about Princess Kate.

While the exact words remain unknown, the comment is said to have deeply angered William, driving a wedge between the future king and his disgraced uncle.

The incident is also thought to be one of the key reasons why Prince William strongly urged his father to strip Andrew of his remaining royal titles and remove him from his 30-room residence at Royal Lodge.

King Charles officially confirmed the decision on Thursday night, marking a decisive step in distancing the monarchy from his scandal-plagued brother.

Neither Prince William nor Andrew have commented publicly on the alleged remark about Princess Kate, nor have they addressed the state of their relationship.

William is known to share a close bond with Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, but tensions between him and their father appear to persist.

At the Duchess of Kent’s funeral last month, royal observers noted a visible chill between the two men. William seemed to deliberately avoid engaging with Andrew, who appeared to attempt conversation.

Reports later claimed that William, the heir to the throne, was “furious” over Andrew’s behaviour, feeling “ambushed” by his uncle’s attempt to speak to him in front of cameras.
