Lady Louise Windsor attending a royal event as her potential plans after university are revealed

Lady Louise Windsor’s Possible Plans After University Come to Light

Lady Louise Windsor is fully embracing university life as she enters her fourth and final year at St Andrews, and attention is now turning to what she might do after graduating.

The 22-year-old niece of King Charles has become deeply involved in student life at the Scottish university in Fife. She is known to take part in the student theatre society, has joined the university’s Officers’ Training Corps as a cadet, and is even believed to have taken on a job in the campus canteen. She also shares her grandfather Prince Philip’s passion for carriage driving.

This week, Ailsa Anderson, former press secretary to Queen Elizabeth II, spoke about the young royal’s future during the latest episode of HELLO!’s Right Royal Podcast.

Ailsa has a close relationship with the Edinburgh family and was present with Duchess Sophie when she gave birth to Lady Louise four weeks early in 2003, while Prince Edward was in Mauritius at the time.

Speaking to HELLO!, she said, “I love seeing pictures of Louise. I love the story of her sitting slumped down in a train on a laptop, doing work, either going back or coming home from university.”

“I think she’s very, very grounded. I love the fact that she takes after her grandfather in terms of carriage driving. It’s a real passion of hers. It’s a continuation of that amazing interest and hobby. She’ll be an interesting one to watch.”

Lady Louise also has a younger brother, James, Earl of Wessex, who is 18. Ailsa added, “I think both children look particularly grounded and normal. We don’t see much of them on the balcony, only occasionally. If there’s a big set-piece event, they are there, but they’re pretty much under the radar, so they can live their life normally, if there is such a thing as a member of the royal family being normal when you’ve got your uncle as the King.”

During the episode, Ailsa also spoke about what Lady Louise might choose to do after finishing her English degree, including the possibility of her taking on a role as a working member of the royal family.
