Queen Camilla’s Unexpected Whisper to Princess Kate at Cenotaph Revealed by Lip Reader

Queen Camilla was seen exchanging a few words with Kate Middleton during the Remembrance Sunday ceremony, with a professional lip reader suggesting that an unexpected name came up in their conversation.

The Royal Family assembled at the Cenotaph in central London, where King Charles led a two-minute silence in honour of those who lost their lives in military conflicts.

Camilla and the Princess of Wales joined other senior royals for the annual commemorations.

However, a brief interaction between the two caught the attention of lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman, who shared his interpretation of what the Queen may have said.

Lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman suggested that Queen Camilla appeared to say “Farage” while speaking quietly to Kate Middleton.

The apparent reference was to Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, who had announced earlier in the week that he would attend the Cenotaph service to lay a wreath.

Speaking before the ceremony, Farage expressed how meaningful the occasion would be to him, saying: “I’ll be very honoured to represent the party at the Cenotaph on Sunday.

“And it’s something that will mean a lot to me personally. It really will.”

He also reflected on his deep respect for military personnel and the sacrifices they have made throughout history.

“I’ve grown up with a huge abiding respect for those who served and I understand, particularly from my youth, growing up in a little village in Kent, what the sheer level of sacrifice was that people gave for us to be free. For me, it will be an enormous honour.”

Nigel Farage’s participation followed an increase in Reform UK’s representation in the House of Commons to more than six MPs, allowing the party leader to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph for the first time.

King Charles led the Remembrance Sunday commemorations, placing the first wreath at the memorial in honour of those who lost their lives in conflicts since the First World War.

The monarch wore his field marshal’s uniform, accompanied by a long grey greatcoat, military cap and sword. After laying his wreath, he stepped back and offered a salute.

The King’s floral tribute was inspired by a wreath originally created for King George VI. It featured 41 paper poppy petals, black leaves and ribbons in scarlet, purple and gold.

Prince William, dressed in his Lieutenant Colonel of the Household Cavalry uniform, also laid a wreath and saluted. The Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Anne followed with their own tributes.

Nine former British prime ministers attended the Remembrance Sunday ceremony, including Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, John Major and Keir Starmer.

Around 10,000 veterans were expected to join the Royal British Legion’s traditional march-past, representing more than 300 military and civilian organisations.

Participants included children who had lost loved ones in military service, young cadets and some of the few remaining Second World War veterans.

Large crowds gathered along Whitehall early on Sunday, with hundreds of people taking their places more than two hours before the commemorations began.
