William and Kate Show Support for King Charles as Fresh Royal Family News Emerges

The Prince and Princess of Wales spent the weekend at Balmoral alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla, with the family gathering coming shortly after reports about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s expected return to Britain.

On Sunday, August 23, several senior members of the Royal Family made their way to Crathie Kirk, the small church close to the Balmoral estate, for a traditional service.

The King and Queen were accompanied by Prince William and Princess Catherine, who brought all three of their children with them. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were seen joining their parents for the family outing in Scotland.

Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, were also among those attending the service, alongside the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their daughter, Lady Louise Windsor.

The Balmoral gathering marked the first time so many members of the Royal Family had been seen together publicly since reports emerged on August 19 that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are preparing to relocate to Britain.

More than six years after establishing their life in the United States, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly planning to return to the UK with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Despite the move, Harry and Meghan are expected to remain non-working members of the Royal Family. They are also reportedly planning to retain their Montecito home in California rather than permanently cutting ties with their American base.

The Sussexes are not expected to move into a royal residence. Instead, the family will reportedly settle in a private property, while Archie and Lilibet are said to have already been enrolled at a British school. Details about the school have been kept private.

King Charles was reportedly informed about the family’s plans before news of the move became public. His response is said to have been positive, particularly because having the Sussexes in Britain could provide more opportunities for him to see Harry and spend time with his grandchildren.

Prince William and Princess Catherine are also understood to have been made aware of the plans before they were widely reported.

With speculation continuing over the state of Harry’s relationships with other senior royals, the family’s united appearance at Balmoral has attracted particular attention as questions remain over how the Sussexes’ return could affect royal family dynamics.
