Princess Kate Returns to Centre Court to Present Wimbledon Ladies’ Singles Trophy

Catherine, Princess of Wales is set to attend Wimbledon Championships this afternoon to watch the women’s singles final.

As patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, the Princess will present the winner’s trophy on Centre Court following the final between No. 10 seed Karolína Muchová and No. 9 seed Linda Nosková.

The all-Czech final promises to be a fascinating contest. Although the two players have only faced each other once in competitive singles, they know each other well through regular practice sessions and were doubles partners at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Catherine will watch the match from the Royal Box, marking her second appearance at Wimbledon this year.

Before taking her seat on Centre Court, the Princess is expected to briefly meet both finalists.

Her previous visit came last Thursday, when she watched British player Arthur Fery compete in his second-round match against Otto Virtanen. Fery’s impressive run came to an end in the semi-finals on Friday.

During the match, Catherine, Princess of Wales was seated alongside Deborah Jevans and former British No. 1 Tim Henman.

Their discussion was featured in a special edition of Overheard at Wimbledon, a social media series that captures conversations, reactions and memorable moments from spectators throughout the tournament.

The Princess of Wales said she had been “blown away” by the generous support for her Three Peaks challenge as she discussed her preparations with Deborah Jevans and Tim Henman.

Catherine completed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours at the end of June, raising funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, where she received treatment in 2024.

She explained that the challenge was intended to explore life beyond diagnosis, adding that supporting such an important cause helped keep her motivated during the most difficult moments.

Kensington Palace later shared photographs showing Catherine being welcomed at the finish by Prince William, their three children and her parents.
